Students must have a 200HR yoga teacher training certificate from a certified school and a consistent personal home practice. The 14-month accelerated 300HR yoga teacher training is for those who can commit to every 25HR and 50HR module that is on the calendar. You must be present for the entire training to receive the certification of completion for the 300HR yoga teacher training. If traveling from elsewhere, book your flights to allow time before and after class.

Monthly Mentorship

Yoga Nidra - January 29-31, 2021 - 25HR Expand

This is a 25HR Training & Immersion open to the general public, yoga teachers, 300HR Custom YTT students and is a requirement for the 300HR Accelerated YTT. All experience and ability levels are welcome.

This training explores how to rest deeply and relax completely while learning how to live well and thrive through the profound teachings of yoga nidra.

Yoga Nidra is a practice that helps you access a state of harmonious, deep rest. From this place, you are able to calm the nervous system and access higher states of healing, restoration, and awakening. Through this sublime craft, you will experience less stress, better sleep, and greater access to your intuitive self.

The practice of Yoga Nidra draws your attention inwards as you learn to move between the states of wakefulness and sleep. It is here that your body and mind find their natural states of balance. Both unconscious and conscious aspects of the mind reveal themselves, and we surrender into a state of deep, blissful awareness. While resting, you will easily and effortlessly turn your attention to the very nature of awareness and consciousness. You may become aware of your true nature – expansive, inclusive and divinely peaceful – while also experiencing your interconnected wholeness to life.

We will cover the modern research and science supporting the practice of yoga nidra, the history and philosophy of the practice, it’s benefits and applications, and the fundamental steps of a yoga nidra session and the purpose behind each. We’ll also cover ways you can customize sessions for your personal practice and/or your clients’ individual needs and circumstances, a variety of variations in which to script a session, and how to integrate yoga nidra therapeutically into a regular plan for well-being.

Yoga & The Power of Sound - Dec 3-5, 2021 - 25HR Expand

This 25HR Training & Immersion is new for 2020! It is open to the general public, yoga teachers certified outside of Experience Alaya, 300HR Custom YTT students and is a requirement for 300HR Accelerated YTT students.

Our ancestors and the ancient yogis were keenly aware of the power of sound on consciousness and now modern science confirms these realizations. Cymatics is the scientific study of the effect of sound on matter. Nada Yoga is the practice of using sound to shape our attention. Sound, which is essentially vibration, is the underlying matrix of reality and the foundation of all creation. We are surrounded by sound in everything we do. From the sounds of

the natural world, to the rush of daily life, there is a vibratory backdrop that influences our experience on a subconscious level at all times.

What influence does sound have on our body and mind? How do the sounds we surround ourselves with actually create our reality? And how can we start to consciously use sound in a way that is healing?

In this workshop we will discuss the historical influence sound and music have had on cultures and spiritual traditions around the world. We will practice the art of deep inner and outer listening combined with mantra and movement to better understand the profound power of sound and its implications on healing and personal awakening.

Frequently Asked Questions

I’m not a certified yoga teacher. Can I attend this yoga teacher training? Expand

Our advanced 300HR yoga teacher trainings are only available for students who have successfully completed a 200HR yoga teacher training with a Yoga Alliance registered school.

If you are interested in taking advanced workshops, you can select from our Immersions & Retreats, which are open to the general public.

I have an injury or a modified practice. Is that okay for this YTT? Expand

Yes, absolutely. Every pose can easily be modified to fit your unique circumstances and we will ensure that you are comfortable during lectures and time spent moving outside. Please let us know if there are special props or accommodations that can assist with your experience after applying and registering.

What do I need to bring to this YTT? Expand

Bring whatever you need to be comfortable each day and be organized during class and spend time outside. This may include:

  • A water bottle
  • A notebook
  • Comfy and active clothes
  • A sweater and/or scarf for savasana
  • A hat, sunglasses and protection when sitting outside
  • A blanket or something to lay down on the earth when we are outside

You will not need to bring your own yoga mat or other yoga supplies, but you are welcome to if you'd feel more at home.

Do we get free time during the day? Expand

We break for approximately 1.5 hours for lunch each day and take multiple 10 and 15-minute breaks throughout. You are welcome to leave the venue during lunch but we ask that you remain on-site during the small breaks.

How many participants will there be? Expand

It varies, but we expect between 15 and 20 students for the 200HR yoga teacher training.

When should I arrive/depart for each module? Expand

If you are traveling from out-of-town, we recommend that you arrive at least the day before the module begins (Wednesday) and give yourself time after the module ends (6 pm on Monday). Ideally, this means you will have an extra day on either end so you are not in a rush and feel well-rested.

How do I arrange lodging with local students? Expand

After you register, our Student Liaison will be in contact with you. At that time, you can discuss the option to stay with our local students and they will facilitate an introduction. Staying with another student is a fantastic way to create meaningful connections, save costs, and immerse yourself deeper into the trainings. This is also a great option to carpool and skip renting a car.

You are responsible for your own food throughout the day. There will be a kitchen available for use during the lunch break where you can store your food in a refrigerator and heat it up in a microwave. There will be fresh water available throughout the day, but please bring your own water container. Please also bring your own plates and utensils to use and wash at home.
